Three-layer structure polyethylene (3PE) anticorrosive coating has been widely used in petroleum pipeline industry for its good corrosion resistance, water and gas permeability and mechanical properties. An anticorrosive coating of 3PE and FBE Coating Steel Pipe is of vital importance for the life of buried pipes. 3PE and FBE Coating Steel Pipe of the same material are buried underground for decades without corrosion, while others leak out in a few years. That's because they use different coatings.
3PE and FBE Coating Steel Pipe is a kind of anticorrosive pipe with 3-layer structure polyethylene coating (MAPEC).Other anti - corrosion methods include IPN8710, FBE epoxy powder, coal tar epoxy, etc. Generally refers to the steel tube wall corrosion.
The anti-corrosion structure

The coating of 3PE and FBE Coating Steel Pipe is epoxy powder anticorrosive coating on the bottom layer and the surface of the steel pipe, and the intermediate layer is copolymer adhesive with branch structure and functional group. The surface layer is a high density polyethylene anticorrosive coating.
Three PE anticorrosive coating combines the characteristics of high impermeability and high mechanical properties of epoxy resin and polyethylene. Up to now, it is the best anticorrosive coating with the best effect and performance, which has been used in many projects.
As illustrated in the flow chart above,
1)All bare pipes or fittings should be preheated first then clean the external surface by sand-blasting and grinding.
2) After surface inspection, qualified pipes will be conveyed to the facility to take final surface treatment to remove even tiny dust from the pipe external surface.
3) Mid-frequency induction heating.
4) Fusion Bonded Epoxy coating.
5) Extrude or spray copolymer adhesive.
6) Extrude the polyethylene layer. Make sure it's wounded onto the adhesive layer correctly.
7) Quenching by circulating cold water.

I. technical development of ERW steel tubes at home and abroad
Sat Argentina has one production line for RBE, two for ERW and one for the auger. Electric resistance welding (ERW) refers to a group of welding processes such as spot and seam welding that produce coalescence of faying surfaceswhere heat to form the weld is generated by the electrical resistance of material combined with the time and the force used to hold the materials together during welding. Some factors influencing heat or welding temperatures are the proportions of the workpieces, the metal coating or the lack of coating, the electrode materials, electrode geometry, electrode pressing force, electrical current and length of welding time. Small pools of molten metal are formed at the point of most electrical resistance (the connecting or "faying" surfaces) as an electrical current (100–100,000 A) is passed through the metal. In general, resistance welding methods are efficient and cause little pollution, but their applications are limited to relatively thin materials and the equipment cost can be high (although in production situations the cost per weld may be low).

What is a black iron pipe?
You may be familiar with "galvanized pipe for gas". Black iron pipe is, simply put, the same thing, but without the zinc coating. The zinc coating on galvanized pipe for gas is meant to keep the pipe from corroding from contact with moisture. While it does its job pretty well, over time, it still does corrode.
Since black iron pipe does not have the zinc coating, it will corrode very quickly if exposed to water. For this reason, it cannot be used for water or waste piping. It is, however, very popular for gas piping. One reason is because it is less expensive than galvanized pipe for gas. Another is that it is easier to differentiate it from water piping when crawling around under a home.
So, can black iron be used for all gas piping?
This is where the UPC really comes into play. There are specific rules for where black iron gas pipes can be used, and where they cannot. If used in an incorrect location, it can become a very serious safety hazard.
To put it simply, black iron pipes can be used for gas under your home, in the crawl space or basement, inside the walls, or in the attic – basically where it is not exposed to earth or the elements (moisture). This is because of the lack of anti-corrosive coating.
For gas lines that must be run under ground, a special type of black pipe should be used that is coated with a special plastic material that keeps the moisture out. This is so it is easily discernible from underground water lines, and also because the plastic coating actually protects the pipe better than a galvanized coating would.
Care must be given, however, to make sure that any exposed pipe is covered by pipe-wrap glue and 10mil pipe-wrap tape. This includes the joints, and any marks in the coating from pipe wrenches, etc. The glue is important because it seals any small gaps that may be created in the taping process.

27MnCrV is a new type of steel for the production of TP110T steel-grade petroleum tubing sleeves. The steel grades for the conventional production of TP110T steel-grade petroleum tubing sleeves are 29CrMo44 and 26CrMo4.Compared with the latter two, 27MnCrV contains fewer Mo elements, which can greatly reduce the production cost.However, 27MnCrV produced by normal austenitic quenching process has obvious high temperature temper brittleness, resulting in low impact toughness and instability.
Two methods are usually used to solve this kind of problem: one is to adopt the method of rapid cooling after tempering to avoid high temperature brittleness and obtain toughness.The second method is to improve the toughness of harmful elements and impurities by incomplete austenitization of steel.The first method, the heat treatment equipment requirements are relatively strict, need to add additional costs.
27 MNCRV steel AC1 = 736 ℃, AC3 = 810 ℃, the temperature quenching heating temperature when choosing between 740-810 ℃.The selected temperature quenching heating temperature 780 ℃, quenching heating heat preservation time of 15 min.After quenching tempering temperature 630 ℃, tempering heat holding time 50 min.As the mild quenching is heated in the + two-phase region, the quenching is carried out in the state of retaining part of the undissolved ferrite, and the toughness is improved while maintaining a high strength.
At the same time, the low temperature quenching is lower than the conventional temperature, which reduces the stress of quenching and thus reduces the deformation of quenching. In this way, the smooth operation of heat treatment production is guaranteed, and good raw materials are provided for the subsequent turning process.
This process has been applied in the pipe processing plant of tianjin steel pipe group. The quality assurance data show that the yield strength Rt0.6 of the steel pipe after heat treatment is 820-860mpa, the tensile strength Rm is 910-940mpa, the impact toughness Akv is 65-85j, and the damage resistance is 100% qualified.The data show that 27MnCrV steel pipe is a high quality petroleum casing pipe of high steel grade. On the other hand, it also shows that the mild tempering quenching process is an excellent method to avoid high temperature brittleness in the production of steel products.
